The Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia in Partnership with the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany, the German Association for Marine Technology, the Government of Canada (Global Affairs Canada and Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) the Government of Nova Scotia & British Columbia, the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship, Alacrity Foundation British Columbia and the Association of British Columbia Marine Industries (ABCMI), Canada welcomes you to the inaugural session of German-Canadian Ocean Economy Talks on February 25, 2021. There will be two subsequent sessions with various topics of focus where companies also have the chance to pitch. Dates are: March 24 and April 29, 2021.

This event provides the opportunity to potential partner firms and  industry experts, from across Canada’s  and Germany’s impressive ocean technology sector to meet and to network with the objective to develop partnerships and collaborations between German and Canadian companies engaged in the Oceans Economy.

Our b2match site features registered Canadian and German  companies who have indicated that they are interested in engaging international business discussions. with each participating company available for virtual one-to-one meetings up until March 11th 2021.

To take part, simply register, add your profile and then request and accept (or decline) meeting invitations.

There will be a brief presentations showcasing both the Canadian and German Ecosystem in the Ocean Economy and companies will be able to present a Two Minute Pitch to all participating registrants.  if you wish to present a pitch please indicate this on your registration.  Please see the agenda tab for full agenda.

For the Pitch Sessions (due to time constraints, Pitch slots are limited, 2 mins max per Pitch, Pitches need to be approved by event organisers). Suggested pitch format:

Two PowerPoint slides.

Suggest one slide  on your company and its offerings and the second on the types of partnership your company is looking for.
